The Dynamics of Blended and Adopted Families (Radio Interview)

I’m still on my reduced summer blog schedule to write my book, but I wanted to invite you to join me for a special radio broadcast!

I’m being interviewed on Monday June 20 at 8 p.m. EST on The Dynamics of Blended and Adopted Families.

We’ll discuss how children in adoptive and blended families experience grief and loss. I’ll share how to recognize their grief and help them process it in healthy ways instead of problem behaviors. And I’ll be sharing on my upcoming book concept – so tune in if you’d like to hear more about the project.

I’ve also written a post for The Step Mom’s Toolbox on how to recognize grief in tough behaviors, and how we can help children deal with grief well. Children grieve loss acutely, but not always overtly… Adoptive, foster and step parents will all benefit from this post. Click here to read it. And if you know someone who’s child is having behavioral or emotional struggles in a blended family, please pass it on.
